Bitcoin Dips to $78,000 Amid Jackson Hole Speech, Bulls See Room for Further Growth
Bitcoin has dipped to $78,000 after a speech by Kevin Warsh at Jackson Hole. Despite this, crypto bulls Ryan Sean Adams and Haseeb Qureshi remain optimistic about the market's potential for further growth.
Their bullish case is based on two key factors: the exhaustion of crypto sellers and the revival of the debasement trade due to Treasury actions aimed at lowering long-term yields. According to Qureshi, 'Crypto is intrinsically reflexive. Upward moves breed upward moves.'
Qureshi also sees Bitcoin's late-June low near $58,000 as likely the cycle bottom and notes that options markets imply a wide year-end range for Bitcoin, with potential prices ranging from $100,000 to the low-$60,000 area.
The Treasury Secretary's effort to contain rising long-term Treasury yields is also seen as beneficial to Bitcoin. While Qureshi acknowledges that these purchases are too small to have a significant impact on the massive Treasury market, he believes they carry an important message: Washington is increasingly concerned about the cost of funding U.S. debt.
