Bitcoin Diverges from Gold and S&P 500 as Traders Reallocate Capital
The price of Bitcoin has diverged from other major assets, including gold and the S&P 500. According to Santiment, Bitcoin dropped by 20% since early November while gold climbed 9% during the same period.
Despite this divergence, market analyst CyrilXBT believes that current conditions are indicative of late-cycle positioning before a possible rotation where Bitcoin might lead when liquidity shifts.
Garrett Jin, former head of exchange BitForex, noted that traders are reallocating capital between markets as opportunities shift. 'Capital is the same and as always, it is wise to sell high and buy low,' Jin wrote in social media posts.
CoinCodex projects a modest price increase for Bitcoin, forecasting a rise to $91,500 by January 30, 2026, representing a 3.68% gain from current levels.
