Bitcoin Diverges from S&P 500 as Bull Market Setup Emerges

Bitcoin market analyst Willy Woo has identified what he believes is a significant divergence between Bitcoin (BTC) and the S&P 500, which he claims could signal the beginning of a new bull market. According to Woo's chart, BTC has separated from the S&P 500 more widely than it has in nearly a decade.

This divergence mirrors a similar pattern seen in 2015, just before the 2017 bull market, Woo noted. In his view, the setup looks similar because BTC liquidity continues to strengthen, while equities are showing signs of fragility.

However, not everyone agrees with Woo's assessment. Cryptoquant contributor Darkfost disputes the idea that there has been a strong decoupling period between Bitcoin and the S&P 500, citing different calculation periods can produce sharply different readings.
