A dormant Bitcoin address that had not been used since 2011 has suddenly become active again. According to Galaxy Research, this address transferred a significant amount of BTC in block 962770, valued at approximately $538,000.

The transfer drew market attention due to the rarity of such events from ancient holdings. On-chain records show that the batch of Bitcoin first entered the address on June 13, 2011, with no movement for more than 15 years.

The cost basis for these holdings at the time was estimated to be about $14 per coin. Based on the current price, the realized gain from this transaction is approximately $538,000, representing an increase of roughly 461,981%.
