Bitcoin Enters Late-Bear Phase Amid Low Volume and Caution
Bitcoin is currently in a late-bear phase, according to Quinten Francois of Traders Union. The cryptocurrency's price has been trading approximately 50% below its 2025 peak of $126k. This decline suggests that Bitcoin is experiencing the Depression stage of its cycle.
The Fear & Greed Index, which measures market sentiment, remains in the mid-30s, indicating a mix of fear and caution among investors. Meanwhile, trading volume is low, and signs of late-bear exhaustion are appearing, as Francois notes.
Earlier this month, Francois observed that Bitcoin was trading near $63,000, with traders closely watching technical levels such as the 200-week moving average and cost bases as market reference points. He previously noted that these indicators were important for traders to follow.
