Bitcoin Enters Potential Bottoming Phase, Could Last Months
Prominent cryptocurrency analyst PlanB believes that Bitcoin has entered a bottoming phase, which could last anywhere from one to three months. This conclusion is based on his observation that Bitcoin's price closed July at $62,818 and its 200-week moving average stood at approximately $63,000.
The bottoming process typically involves price stabilization and accumulation, but PlanB cautioned that the price could still decline further during this period.
Historical patterns suggest that Bitcoin often consolidates after significant declines before establishing a new uptrend. The 200-week moving average has historically served as a strong support level during bear markets, with notable instances in 2018-2019 and 2020.
For investors, this analysis implies patience may be required, as bottoming processes often involve prolonged periods of sideways movement that can test even the most experienced traders.
