Bitcoin ETF Flows Rebound, But Recovery Falls Short
Bitcoin ETF flows rebounded by $137.3 million on August 17, but this recovery only recouped about one-third of recent losses. According to Farside's data, the inflow was led by Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), which accounted for 81.5% of the total with a $111.9 million contribution.
The net outflow over the prior five sessions had reached $385.2 million, and the current recovery represents only 35.6% of this loss. The funds still showed a cumulative $247.9 million net outflow across all six sessions.
The dominance of Fidelity's fund in the inflow has raised questions about whether this is a market-wide demand signal or just another session dominated by one issuer. It also remains to be seen if the ETF flows will broaden beyond Fidelity across subsequent sessions.
