Bitcoin ETF Inflow Streak Ends Amid Hawkish Speech
Bitcoin's streak of inflows into US spot ETFs has been broken. For nine consecutive days, these funds attracted over $3 billion in investment, but on August 28, they saw a reversal with net outflows totaling approximately $202 million.
This sudden shift came after Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh delivered a hawkish speech at the Jackson Hole economic conference, highlighting concerns about sticky inflation and raising the likelihood of a September rate hike. As a result, Bitcoin's price pulled back from its recent high around $81,000 to consolidate near $78,000.
Investors are now questioning whether the institutional demand that fueled the August rally is still intact or if this marks the beginning of a shift in macro sentiment.
