Bitcoin ETF Inflows Fail to Lift Dogecoin Amid Apeing Frenzy
The recent influx of capital into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs has raised questions about its impact on other cryptocurrencies, particularly Dogecoin (DOGE). According to data from SoSoValue reported by PANews, approximately $314.37 million entered these products on August 25.
However, this figure does not measure demand for DOGE or Apeing, a separate pre-launch project that has been gaining attention due to its team-reported 12K+ whitelist and interest from larger crypto holders.
The price of DOGE has recently traded around $0.084753, below the 200-day average near $0.0956. To reclaim this level, traders will be watching for a recovery in DOGE's price.
Despite the ETF inflows into Bitcoin and Ether products, which added approximately $179.80 million and $284.42 million respectively, their spot prices have been weaker. Bitcoin traded near $79,040, down about 1.7% over 24 hours, while ETH traded near $2,467.
The responsible reading of these numbers is that major-asset funds attracted capital while DOGE cooled after a round-number test. Apeing remains a separate audit-first project with no official sale price or launch deadline announced.
