Bitcoin ETF Inflows Outpace Ethereum Withdrawals Amid Price Volatility
The Bitcoin ETF market has seen a rebound in net inflows, with $32.1 million pouring into U.S. spot Bitcoin funds on July 29. This marks the end of four consecutive sessions of outflows totaling over $500 million.
In contrast, Ethereum ETFs are experiencing a wave of withdrawals, with $18.65 million leaving these funds in a single day. BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) was an exception, attracting $5.2 million.
Ethereum still holds the advantage for the entire month of July, having attracted $342.9 million in net inflows since its start. This is significantly higher than the $204.7 million recorded by Bitcoin ETFs during the same period.
The Fear & Greed Index remains in the fear zone at 28, indicating a decline from the extreme fear of a month ago. Three scenarios have emerged: Bitcoin consolidating its position as the reference asset for institutional allocations, Ethereum's underperformance being temporary, or a widespread flight from crypto ETFs due to geopolitical escalation or regulatory decisions.
