Bitcoin ETF Inflows Plummet 76% as Only Two Funds Attract New Money
Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw a significant slowdown in inflows on Friday, September 4, as only two funds, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) and Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), attracted fresh money.
The net inflow of $174.6 million was a 76.1% drop from the previous day's total of $730.8 million, according to data from Farside Investors' daily table.
Only two funds out of 12 tracked saw positive flows on Friday, down from seven on Thursday, while ten funds recorded zero net flows and none experienced net outflows.
The Labor Day holiday break may have contributed to the slowdown in inflows, but it's too early to determine if this is a lasting trend.
