Bitcoin ETF Inflows Surge Past $850 Million Amid Broader Market Uncertainty

The crypto market has seen significant inflows in Bitcoin ETFs for the week of August. According to SoSo Vale data, Spot Bitcoin [BTC] ETFs have gained $853.5 million, marking the best weekly performance since April.

BlackRock's IBIT led with $693.5 million in inflows, followed by Fidelity's FBTC with $116.5 million. This is notable given the recent Coldcard hack that resulted in the loss of 1,719 BTC or roughly $111 million.

CryptoQuant analysis suggests that these ETF inflows indicate capital moving into Bitcoin ETFs but do not necessarily reflect growing optimism about the broader crypto market. New cash inflows, portfolio rebalancing, and investors moving between ETFs are possible sources of the flows.

XWIN Japan and DeFi Asset Management noted that recent inflows may represent selective institutional or traditional-finance allocation through regulated products rather than widespread speculative buying.
