Bitcoin ETF Momentum Fades as Ethereum Surges
The spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have finally broken their three-week streak of negative net inflows, but momentum seems to be fading. In contrast, Ethereum ETFs continue to outperform, with over $100 million in new investments during the past week.
After weeks of withdrawals, investors began putting money back into BTC ETFs in early July, injecting nearly $200 million and then another $75.67 million. However, this trend was short-lived, as outflows returned on Thursday and Friday, totaling $225.18 million and $240 million, respectively.
The week ended with a relatively modest $33.79 million in net inflows for Bitcoin ETFs. In comparison, Ethereum ETFs saw a more substantial influx of funds, with almost $104 million invested over the course of the week.
