Bitcoin ETF Outflow Reversal Marks Sustained Shift in Sentiment
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced their strongest three-week inflow streak of 2026, but that momentum reversed this week with two consecutive days of redemptions.
The pullback saw a net withdrawal of $166.8 million over the holiday-shortened week, with ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) accounting for more than half of Wednesday's total outflows at $78 million.
Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC) and BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) also reported significant redemptions, while Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust (MSBT) was the lone bright spot with a modest inflow of $4.5 million.
The contrast between this week's outflows and the previous three-week inflow streak highlights the importance of considering the broader picture when interpreting daily flow figures.
