Bitcoin ETF Outflows Total $463M as Market Awaits Fed Decision
The U.S. cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF) market experienced significant fluctuations in the shortened week of September 8, with nearly $263 million in net outflows recorded across various ETFs.
However, a closer look at the numbers reveals that Bitcoin ETFs were the main contributors to this decline, experiencing nearly $463 million in net outflows over four sessions. This marks a reversal from previous weeks, where Bitcoin ETFs had accumulated about one billion dollars in inflows.
The biggest contributors to these outflows include ARKB from Ark Invest and 21Shares, which lost $234.2 million, GBTC from Grayscale, which saw $129.1 million in outflows, IBIT from BlackRock, which surrendered $52.5 million, and FBTC from Fidelity, which lost $50.7 million.
On the other hand, Ether ETFs took an opposite trajectory, gathering $197.11 million over the week and logging a fourth consecutive positive weekly period. This rebound was largely driven by BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust collecting $148.8 million on Friday, while 21Shares added $29.1 million.
XRP and Solana ETFs also extended their positive gathering, with XRP recording $18.98 million in inflows and Solana closing the week with $10.30 million inflow.
