Bitcoin ETFs Absorb Nearly $1 Billion in Two-Day Rebound
US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen significant inflows in recent days, absorbing nearly $1 billion since August 18. According to SoSoValue data, these ETFs took in $189.3 million in net inflows on August 18 alone, lifting the month's cumulative total to roughly $951 million.
This is a notable rebound from three consecutive outflow sessions between August 12 and 14 that drained approximately $250 million. Since their January 2024 launch, cumulative net inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs have reached around $52.28 billion, with total net assets across the funds standing at roughly $79.3 billion.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) led the charge on August 18, with IBIT drawing in $143.6 million and FBTC adding $23.9 million. This concentration of capital in these two funds is significant, as it masks what smaller funds are doing.
The weekly snapshot for August 7 saw inflows totaling $853.54 million, with IBIT capturing roughly $693 million of that figure. If this trend continues, August could see its first month above $1 billion in net inflows since April.
