Bitcoin ETFs Attract Record $517M Inflows Amid Institutional Interest
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced a significant influx of new money on August 19, with approximately $517.2 million in net inflows, marking the largest single-day total in three months.
The surge was led by BlackRock's IBIT, which attracted $284.74 million in new investments. Other notable contributors included ARK Invest's ARKB and Fidelity's FBTC, each of which saw significant inflows.
Industry analysts suggest that the increase in demand for regulated crypto exposure among institutional investors may be driven by growing acceptance of Bitcoin as an asset class, improved regulatory clarity, and portfolio rebalancing by large asset managers.
The participation of traditional financial giants like Morgan Stanley and Franklin Templeton underscores the mainstreaming of digital assets. 'The steady increase in inflows from established asset managers is a sign that Bitcoin is becoming a standard part of diversified portfolios,' said one industry analyst.
