Bitcoin ETFs Bleed $120M as Ethereum Sees Surge
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw significant outflows on September 9, losing $120.2 million in a single day. This marked the second consecutive day of net redemptions for these funds, which have been experiencing increased volatility.
The ARK 21Shares' ARKB ETF led the retreat with $78 million in net redemptions, followed by Grayscale's GBTC, which shed $27.2 million. However, it's worth noting that over the past seven days, Bitcoin ETFs have actually posted roughly $820 million in net inflows.
Ethereum ETFs, on the other hand, saw a significant increase in inflows on September 9, attracting $34.75 million. The majority of this inflow came from BlackRock's staking-enabled ETHB product, which accounted for $22.94 million of that total.
Despite the recent outflows, Bitcoin ETFs have still attracted approximately $55 billion in total net inflows since their launch in the US. However, 2026 has been a choppier year, with roughly $1.07 billion in net outflows on the year overall.
