Bitcoin ETFs Defy Security Headlines with Record Inflows
A recent security incident involving Coldcard hardware wallets did not deter institutional investors from pouring money into regulated Bitcoin investment products. In fact, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted nearly $800 million in net inflows over a seven-day period.
The inflows were fueled by BlackRock's IBIT, which added $757.5 million in rolling net inflows and extended its streak to four consecutive inflow days. On the latest trading day alone, it added $128.3 million.
The influx of capital continued despite a lone selloff on July 31, when U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $212.7 million in net outflows. However, buyers returned almost immediately, with positive days outnumbering the negative one by the end of the week.
