Bitcoin ETFs Flooded with $1 Billion in Investments as Price Surges
The Bitcoin market experienced a surge in investment after three days of heavy buying, with over $1 billion flowing into Bitcoin ETFs. The price of Bitcoin climbed to $72,659 on Thursday, representing a 10% increase from the previous day.
The demand for Bitcoin ETFs was led by BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, which received approximately $588.5 million in investments since Monday. This influx of capital is a significant turnaround from last week, when over $385 million was withdrawn from U.S. funds due to increased tensions in the Middle East.
The renewed interest in Bitcoin and its associated ETFs can be attributed to several factors, including the Treasury Department's decision to increase government debt repurchases and lower long-term yields. This move has made risk assets such as Bitcoin and gold more attractive to investors.
President Donald Trump also met with crypto executives and financial regulators at the White House on Wednesday, renewing his push for lawmakers to pass the Clarity Act. The bill aims to create clearer rules for digital assets, defining when a crypto asset falls under securities, commodities, or payment stablecoin rules.
