Bitcoin ETFs Flooded with $731M as BTC Price Surges Above $81K
US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw their largest one-day inflow in nearly eight months as the cryptocurrency's price surged above $81,000. The influx of approximately $730.9 million on September 3 was the strongest day since January 14.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), managed by BlackRock, led the session with about $454 million in net inflows. ARK 21Shares' ARKB followed closely with $137.8 million, while Fidelity's FBTC added $74.4 million.
Grayscale's Bitcoin Mini Trust recorded $48.8 million in inflows, and GBTC added $8.2 million. However, the strong buying was partially offset by net outflows from VanEck's HODL ($19.6 million) and WisdomTree's BTCW ($5.2 million).
The influx coincided with a sharp recovery in Bitcoin's price, which climbed 4.45% over the past 24 hours to around $80,991. The cryptocurrency briefly pushed above $81,000 after climbing from below $78,000 earlier in the session.
