Bitcoin ETFs Hold Strong Amid Diverging Altcoin Inflows
Bitcoin ETFs continued to attract capital last week, despite a decline in inflows for other major altcoin products. According to SoSoValue data, Bitcoin ETFs recorded $986.9 million in net inflows during the five trading days through September 4.
This marks a 6.7% increase from the previous week's $924.5 million and demonstrates the ongoing institutional demand for Bitcoin. In contrast, inflows into Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Hyperliquid ETFs fell between 73% and 96%, suggesting a slowdown in interest after a strong late August run.
While trading activity declined, with Bitcoin ETF turnover falling to around $14.5 billion from nearly $19 billion the week before, the stronger inflows for Bitcoin ETFs extend the trend seen during August when they recorded their best monthly performance of 2026 as Bitcoin gained roughly 25%.
