Bitcoin ETFs Post Modest Recovery Amid Price Bounce
Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated $34 million in investment this week, marking a modest recovery for the products. This figure comes after a period of significant outflows, with cumulative net losses reaching approximately $4.76 to $4.84 billion by mid-to-late July.
In contrast, recent weeks have seen substantial inflows into Bitcoin ETFs. Over seven consecutive days leading up to July 22, US spot Bitcoin ETFs posted a total of around $981 million in inflows. A mid-July week saw net inflows of about $246.4 million, and the week before that brought in roughly $197 million.
The current price range of Bitcoin, approaching $65,000 to $66,000, has likely contributed to the recent influx of capital into these products. This price range appears to be serving as an on-ramp for re-entry into the market.
With multiple issuers offering similar exposure to Bitcoin, distribution strength and fee structures have become key differentiators in this competitive landscape. Morgan Stanley's MSBT ETF made a notable entrance when it launched on April 8, collecting about $34 million in net inflows on its first trading day.
