Bitcoin ETFs Post Record Outflows as Bitcoin Falls Below $78K
US-listed Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) ended their nine-day inflow streak as Bitcoin dipped below $78,000 on Friday. The reversal saw a net outflow of $201.8 million from these funds.
This comes after more than $3 billion in net inflows during the previous nine sessions. August flows remain positive at $3.3 billion with one US trading session left in the month. Total net assets fell to $97.6 billion, down from a high of over $100 billion on Thursday.
ARK 21Shares led Bitcoin ETF outflows with $114.9 million in net withdrawals, followed by Bitwise's Bitcoin ETF with $49.7 million in outflows. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF recorded $33.4 million in outflows, while Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust was the only fund to see inflows, adding $9.3 million.
Ether and XRP ETFs continued to attract inflows despite the reversal in Bitcoin funds, with Ether ETFs adding $102.2 million and XRP ETFs recording $26.2 million in net flows. Solana ETFs have maintained positive momentum, attracting $1.7 billion in cumulative flows without a sustained stretch of outflows.
