Bitcoin ETFs See Sudden Surge as Price Recovers
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced a significant influx of cash in early July, following a prolonged period of outflows. According to data, US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $487 million in net inflows over two trading days, marking the first consecutive positive flow since May 2025.
This rebound coincided with Bitcoin's price recovery above $63,800, highlighting the asset's volatility and the ongoing trend of institutional profit-taking. Despite the inflows, a broader look at the data reveals that $6.35 billion in outflows occurred over the prior 30 days, indicating that investors are actively managing their positions rather than holding Bitcoin passively.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund were among the leading beneficiaries of these inflows, underscoring their dominant role in institutional Bitcoin investment. This development underscores the growing importance of these funds as a gateway for institutions to participate in the cryptocurrency market.
