Bitcoin ETFs Suffer Largest Weekly Outflows Since July Amid Stalled Price Momentum
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded their largest weekly outflows of $462.7 million, ending a three-week streak of inflows in September. The reversal came as Bitcoin struggled below the psychologically important $80,000 level, trading near $77,900 on Monday.
The sharpest pressure arrived Thursday, when the funds lost $282.7 million in a single session, their largest daily outflow since July. The sudden reversal shows how quickly ETF demand weakened as Bitcoin’s price momentum stalled near a critical psychological threshold.
ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF recorded $234.2 million in net outflows, while Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust ETF lost $129.1 million. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF posted $52.5 million in withdrawals, and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund saw $50.7 million leave.
Ethereum ETFs moved in the opposite direction, drawing $196.9 million in net inflows during the same four-day week. BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF accounted for $148.8 million of Friday's total, while the 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF added another $29.1 million.
