Bitcoin ETFs Suffer Record Outflows Amid Shift in Market Sentiment
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have experienced a significant outflow of nearly $283 million, marking a notable shift in market sentiment. This dramatic reversal comes after two days of hefty withdrawals from U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, which had previously attracted around $731 million in inflows just one week earlier.
The ARK Invest and 21Shares' ARKB fund suffered the largest exit, with a steep $164.3 million withdrawal from its portfolio. Despite this downturn, total inflows for September still stand at a commendable $622.7 million, casting a shadow of hope over the seemingly bleak outlook.
The recent ebb in investor confidence has left many wondering about institutional appetite for Bitcoin and its broader consequences for valuation. Analysts posit that the combination of ETF outflows and macroeconomic challenges, such as surging U.S. Treasury yields and skyrocketing oil prices, intensifies Bitcoin's volatility.
