Bitcoin ETFs Surge as Ethereum Funds Shed $11M on August 4
Crypto ETFs saw significant institutional demand on August 4, with Bitcoin leading the way in terms of inflows. According to data from Farside Investors, US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $170.3 million in net inflows during this period.
The recovery was largely driven by BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which attracted a substantial $183.8 million in fresh capital. Despite smaller outflows from competing products partially offsetting these gains, the category still saw a positive daily total.
In contrast to Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs experienced modest net outflows of $11.0 million during the session. This divergence highlights the continued selective nature of institutional investment in crypto, with investors seeming to differentiate between assets based on short-term valuation changes and specific investment themes.
