Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs See Best Week Since April with $1 Billion Inflows
Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs pulled in over $1 billion this week, marking their best week since April. The inflows were led by BlackRock's IBIT and ETHA, which absorbed about 80% of the combined total.
The spot Bitcoin ETFs drew $853.54 million, their largest haul since nearly four months ago. These funds recorded inflows in every session this week, including a high of $244.42 million on Wednesday.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust dominated the latest inflow week, accounting for roughly 80% of the new money entering the spot Bitcoin funds. Since their US debut in January 2024, these ETFs have recorded more than $52 billion in cumulative net inflows and now oversee about $80 billion in net assets.
The renewed demand came after a security flaw affecting Coldcard hardware wallets was disclosed, adding a custody backdrop to the ETF rebound. Researchers estimated that attackers drained around 1,816 BTC, worth approximately $116 million, from over 5,200 addresses starting July 30.
