Bitcoin, Ethereum Hold Ground as Altcoin Gains Falter
Crypto markets presented a mixed picture in evening trading, with Bitcoin and Ethereum holding onto gains. The two largest coins by market capitalization rose modestly, providing some reassurance to bulls after recent volatility.
Bitcoin edged higher to $78,594.02, up 0.46% on the session, while Ethereum rose 0.83% to $2,477.96. BNB also gained ground, adding 0.53% to trade at $696.29.
However, not all altcoins fared as well. Solana fell 1.26% to $104.31, one of the sharper declines of the session. Dogecoin and Cardano struggled, with prices dropping by 1.07% and 0.88%, respectively.
The divergence between larger tokens and smaller altcoins suggests that investors are exercising caution, consolidating capital around more liquid assets.
