Bitcoin, Ethereum Spot ETFs Extend Inflow Streak to Nine Days
Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs continue to attract massive inflows, marking nine consecutive days of net inflows. On August 27, Bitcoin spot ETFs added $242.30 million in net inflows, while Ethereum spot ETFs recorded $235 million in net inflows. These parallel streaks follow a period of heavy institutional buying, with BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) contributing significantly to the influx.
The combined total of $477.3 million added to both categories is their biggest weekly inflow since October. This suggests institutions are building positions across both assets rather than rotating between them. The current streak began on August 17 and has continued uninterrupted through August 27.
Bitcoin's price hovered around $80,000 on Thursday, up 2.12% over the past 24 hours. Ether traded near $2,480 during the same period. Total net assets across spot Bitcoin ETFs stood at $79.16 billion, with trading volume reaching $8.23 billion according to CoinGlass data.
Solana and Hyperliquid ETFs also saw significant inflows on August 27, adding $60.91 million and $24.42 million respectively. These gains suggest institutional demand extends beyond the two largest crypto assets.
