Bitcoin Eyes Key Pivot as Institutional Demand for ETFs Surges
Bitcoin is currently trading near its key $64,000 pivot level, according to analyst That Martini Guy. The price of BTC has been fluctuating around this mark, with a dip below $63,000 attracting new buyers and sending the price up to $64,529 before renewed selling.
The analyst predicts that if Bitcoin holds at $64,000, it could allow buyers to push initially to $65,000, then $65,700, which would reinforce the bullish structure over the short term.
However, should Bitcoin fail to hold the $64,000 level, analysts anticipate a retreat to $63,000. Further breakdown below $63,000 could invalidate the recovery structure and open the way to $61,000 support.
Institutional investment in Bitcoin ETFs is on the rise, with Jane Street holding over $1 billion in US spot Bitcoin ETF assets as of June 30. This includes $828 million allocated to BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and the remainder distributed among other ETFs like Fidelity's FBTC and Grayscale's GBTC.
The significant presence of Jane Street underscores the growing trend of institutional adoption within the cryptocurrency space, with ETFs playing a key role in supporting market participation by large financial institutions.
