Bitcoin Eyes Weekend Dip Before Next Leg Higher

Bitcoin's price is expected to dip on Sunday evening before making a push towards $82,700, according to analyst Michaël van de Poppe. He notes that this pattern of weekend weakness followed by fresh highs has repeated itself over the past six months.

The current 4-hour data shows Bitcoin trading at $77,293.32 within its Bollinger bands, with an upper resistance level at $79,897.71. The price is also above both the EMA50 and EMA200 indicators, but the RSI reading of 70.52 suggests overbought conditions.

The MACD indicator has registered a bearish death cross, which could indicate a pullback towards the 50-EMA before the next leg higher. However, Bitcoin's technical analysis and crypto volatility patterns suggest that this setup often precedes the next major move once the weekly reset is complete.
