Bitcoin Faces Make-or-Break Moment as It Tries to Hold Key Support Level
Bitcoin has been struggling to maintain its momentum after reaching an all-time high of $80K, and now it's approaching a critical support level. The price has been slipping back toward the lower boundary of its recent structure, and participation in the market remains relatively subdued. This has led to increased dependence on the $76K-$77K area to prevent further correction.
The daily chart shows that Bitcoin's impulsive rally carried the asset through major resistance zones and moving averages before reaching the upper supply zone. However, the price repeatedly failed to establish acceptance above this zone, suggesting a loss of strength in the initial bullish impulse.
The $76K-$77K region is now the first important support area, and holding it could allow BTC to continue consolidating beneath the $80K-$82K resistance zone before another breakout attempt. A decisive daily breakdown below $76K would make a deeper correction increasingly likely, with the $72K-$74K former resistance zone representing the next major support.
