Bitcoin Faces Quantum Fears as Zcash Sees Hope in Privacy Update
The cryptocurrency market has been experiencing a period of calm, but the charts tell a different story for Bitcoin and Zcash.
Bitcoin has been dealing with fears of quantum threats and artificial intelligence. Jim Cramer from CNBC said he's selling his BTC due to worries about quantum computing, and a $130 million Coldcard wallet hack added to the concerns about custody.
In macroeconomic news, the Federal Reserve kept interest rates at 3.5-3.75%, leaving risk assets in limbo.
Zcash, however, had a stronger reason to move. The Ironwood update, activated on July 28 as part of the NU6.3 network upgrade, revamped the privacy core of the network.
