Bitcoin Faces Uphill Battle as Bond Yields Soar
Global bond yields have surged in recent times, pushing US and UK 10-year yields to near 5% and 6%, respectively. This rise in yields has weighed heavily on Bitcoin's price, which plummeted to $76,500 due to the economic stress it signals.
The cryptocurrency is currently bouncing within a technical channel but must break above $81,500 soon to confirm a bullish reversal. If bond yields continue climbing, they could suppress Bitcoin and other markets further, but a shift in momentum might still favor Bitcoin's recovery if it breaks key resistance levels by Sunday.
