Bitcoin Falters at $65K as Pi Surges to New Heights
Bitcoin has been trying to break through the $65,000 mark since last Monday, but was stopped at $65,600 twice. After a significant decline to $62,400 and then down to $62,200 on Saturday, it rebounded slightly after President Trump's announcement of canceled strikes against Iran. However, the bulls were more persistent this time and helped BTC climb above $63,000 and even $64,000 within a day or so.
Currently, BTC sits inches below $65,000 but has reclaimed its dominance over alts, which remains just below 57% on CG. Meanwhile, the total crypto market cap has increased by approximately $40 billion to reach $2.3 trillion.
In contrast, Pi Network's native token, PI, has emerged as today's top performer, exploding by 15% at one point and reaching a 3-week peak before being halted. It now trades above $0.09. GT and BDX follow suit in terms of daily gains.
