Bitcoin-Focused Strive Inc. Posts Stunning $523M Loss
Strive Inc., a Nevada-based company, reported a significant loss of $523 million for the first half of 2026. The company's treasury is heavily focused on Bitcoin, which has driven volatility in its financials.
The quarterly report filed with the SEC shows that Strive's digital assets, valued at $1.16 billion, took a huge hit, resulting in a net unrealized loss of $228 million. This was largely due to fluctuations in the value of Bitcoin.
Strive's operating expenses also increased significantly, rising from $5.2 million in the same period last year to $24.4 million in 2026. The company's investment losses, including the net unrealized loss on digital assets and investments in preferred equity, totaled $236.8 million.
The company's Class A common stock, trading under the ticker ASST, has seen a significant decline in value. Despite this, Strive continues to focus on its Bitcoin-focused treasury strategy.
