Bitcoin Forecasted to Hit $11M in 2036 on AI-Driven Deflation
A new report from Strive forecasts that Bitcoin will reach $11 million per coin by the first quarter of 2036, driven by AI-driven deflation. According to Joe Burnett, vice president of Bitcoin strategy at Strive, AI-powered automation will drive sustained price declines across goods and services, creating deflationary pressure throughout the economy.
This would lead policymakers to expand the money supply to prevent a deflationary spiral, steadily inflating the value of scarce assets. The report assumes that global wealth will compound at 7% annually over the decade and that Bitcoin would represent roughly 12% of total global financial assets by 2036.
The forecast requires a more than 176-fold increase in market capitalization, reaching $230 trillion. Burnett also identifies 'digital credit' as a separate demand driver, where publicly traded companies issue securities backed by large Bitcoin balance sheets to raise capital for further Bitcoin purchases.
