Bitcoin Golden Cross Sparks $85,000 Rally Hopes
Bitcoin is approaching a bullish technical signal known as the golden cross, where its medium-term moving averages are rapidly converging after a strong recovery in August. The cryptocurrency now faces a key test around the $80,000 to $82,000 resistance level.
The golden cross emerges when a shorter moving average crosses above a longer one, typically viewed as a bullish sign for continued upside. In this context, it suggests that medium-term momentum has shifted decisively, but analysts caution that this indicator is lagging, having already seen most of the recovery fueling the signal.
Bitcoin has struggled to break above the $80,000 to $82,000 resistance zone several times before, with its latest attempt briefly touching $81,500. A daily close above $82,000 could clear significant resistance and pave the way for a rally toward $85,000.
