Bitcoin Golden Cross Sparks Hopes of Uptrend
The cryptocurrency market has been relatively flat over the past two weeks, but recent gains for Cosmos, Polkadot, and Zcash are giving some analysts cause to be optimistic about future growth.
One key indicator of a potential uptrend is the 'golden cross' formation in Bitcoin's simple moving averages. This occurs when the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average, and it typically precedes accelerated growth in traditional financial assets.
However, the current golden cross situation bears some resemblance to that seen in 2019, where such a signal preceded a 90% rally over less than two months. In contrast to past instances, this time the price is not yet above $80K, and analysts are cautioning against reading too much into the signal.
