Bitcoin Hangs at $78K as Fed Decision Looms Amid Altcoin Frenzy
Bitcoin (BTC) has maintained its price at around $78,000 as it enters what is expected to be its most important week this year. The cryptocurrency's market cap is back up to $1.560 trillion, and its dominance over the alts is now at 59% on CoinMarketCap.
Despite dipping below $77,000 on Sunday, BTC recovered to its current price of almost $78,000 as of press time. This comes ahead of a crucial week that includes the Fed's decision and voting on the CLARITY Act.
Ethereum (ETH) has also seen a rebound, reaching over $2,500 today, while Binance Coin (BNB) remains above $720. Ripple's XRP is up by more than 3% as it tries to break through the $1.40 resistance level.
The altcoins are seeing some significant price swings, with BTW surging by over 36% and becoming today's top performer. Filecoin (FIL) has also seen a notable increase, rising by 25% to tap the $1.00 level.
