Bitcoin Heads into Another Potentially Painful Month in August

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez is sounding the alarm about Bitcoin's performance in August. Historically, the month has been tough for the leading cryptocurrency.

Average declines of 10% over four consecutive years are not a coincidence. In 2022, Bitcoin fell by 13.88%, followed by 11.29% in 2023, 8.60% in 2024, and 6.49% in 2025.

The conditions that have driven this seasonal pattern are still present: thin institutional participation, macro uncertainty, and seasonal selling. Whether a regulatory catalyst or a sudden shift in ETF flows could break the pattern is unknown.
