Bitcoin Hedging and Fed Speech Converge in High-Stakes Week

Bitcoin is facing a dual test this week as dealer hedging and Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's keynote speech at Jackson Hole converge on Friday. The same day, $6.44 billion in Bitcoin options covering 81,700 contracts will settle on Deribit.

The derivatives reset has generated significant attention due to the large notional value of the expiring contracts. However, history suggests that this size of expiry has underwhelmed before, and it's unlikely to guarantee direction on its own.

Dealer hedging around specific strikes will interact with Warsh's tone, which is expected to be closely watched by markets. The put-to-call ratio in the options book is 0.83, leaning bullish in structure but not functioning as a forecast.
