Bitcoin Hits Three-Session Streak of Failed Breakouts Above $80K
Bitcoin (BTC) has hit a snag in its ascent to $80K, experiencing three consecutive sessions of failed breakouts above that mark. The current price is at $76,500, down -1.5% over the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data.
This development follows what analysts call the historically weak 'Rektember' pattern, where September has averaged roughly -3% since 2013. However, Bitcoin has still closed the month green in each of the last three years.
Institutional buying hasn't stopped, with a strategy reportedly adding 4,603 BTC for $370M even as the spot price weakened.
