Bitcoin Holds $78,000 Level Amid Crypto Market Decline
Bitcoin held above $78,000 on Thursday morning in Asia, despite a 1% drop over the past 24 hours. The rest of the major cryptocurrencies fell harder, with Dogecoin leading the pack at 5%, followed by BNB and XRP.
Dogecoin's decline has been particularly steep, while Solana, HYPE, Ether, and Ethereum all lost between 1% to 3%. Tron was the only gainer, rising less than 1% to around 34 cents.
Analysts at FxPro pointed out that Bitcoin's 50-day average price has crossed above its 200-day average. This crossover is significant because it often precedes a bull market. The analysts noted that this situation bears resemblance to 2019, when the price rallied by 90% in under two months after a similar signal.
