Bitcoin Holds Above $64K as MA200 Becomes Key Support Zone
Bitcoin's price remains above $64,000 as it enters a mid-term accumulation phase that could last one to two months. According to crypto analyst Doctor Profit, this is a crucial buying zone due to the presence of the 200-week moving average (MA200) at its lower end. The area has been tested multiple times in the past and previous market cycles show that buying near or below the MA200 has historically been profitable.
Doctor Profit emphasizes that his strategy is centered on accumulating within a defined price range, rather than waiting for Bitcoin to print its absolute low. He suggests establishing an average entry between $54,000 and $64,000, which would still be considered a 'phenomenal entry' even if BTC were to bottom at $54,000.
Looking ahead, this week's Federal Reserve policy meeting is expected to have a significant impact on financial markets. Market expectations currently imply a 65% probability of interest rates remaining unchanged and a 35% chance of a rate hike, while expectations for a September hike have climbed above 80%. This growing caution among investors could influence the price of Bitcoin in the coming days.
