Bitcoin Holds Firm Above $78,000 as Arbitrum Soars
Bitcoin (BTC) continues to hold its ground near $78,000 on Tuesday, maintaining a clear bullish bias. The price remains above key exponential moving averages, including the 50-day EMA at $70,050 and the 200-day EMA at $72,303.
The broader cryptocurrency complex is reflecting a risk-on stance, with BTC trading above major levels. From a Fibonacci perspective, Bitcoin is positioned above the 50% retracement level of its move between the annual high at $97,924 and the swing low at $57,800.
However, momentum indicators suggest that the current rally may be maturing. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is hovering around 70 and edging away from overbought territory, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has slipped below its signal line.
In contrast to Bitcoin's steady price action, Arbitrum (ARB) is experiencing a significant surge. The token has gained 9% on Tuesday, building on a strong 29% advance from the previous day. ARB is trading above key moving averages and testing the 200-day EMA at $0.1163.
While momentum signals point to stretched conditions for Arbitrum, with an RSI reading of 74 indicating overbought territory, upward momentum remains constructive despite the extended setup.
