Bitcoin Holds Firm Amid Global Market Volatility
Bitcoin is maintaining its composure in the face of global market volatility. Despite US military strikes on Iran and rising oil prices, Bitcoin has held steady above $78,000. This resilience stands out against a backdrop where other assets are feeling the pinch.
The largest cryptocurrency traded at around $78,623 on Monday, down just 0.7% over 24 hours. According to Iliya Kalchev, an analyst at Nexo Dispatch, Bitcoin's ability to withstand both geopolitical tensions and a hawkish Federal Reserve is a significant signal. This stability contrasts with the 2.6% climb in West Texas Intermediate futures to around $85.60 a barrel.
Kalchev pointed out that derivatives data suggest traders are repositioning rather than committing fresh capital, with 24-hour volume more than doubling to $183 billion while open interest stayed roughly flat.
