Bitcoin Holds Ground at $79K Amid Broader Market Weakness
Bitcoin has maintained its resilience around $79,000 despite weakness in broader risk assets. The cryptocurrency's price remained relatively stable over the past 24 hours, gaining 1.30%.
Ethereum also saw a slight increase of 1.71%, trading at $2,477. However, not all altcoins performed well, with Tron declining by 1.41%
Riya Sehgal from Delta Exchange notes that the crypto market has entered a consolidation phase in September, with Bitcoin holding near $78,300 and Ethereum around $2,460.
The global crypto market capitalization has seen an uptick of 1.01% to $2.657 trillion, according to CoinMarketCap, while the fear and greed index slightly rose to 75, indicating greedy market sentiments.
